Once you have, remove your hands from the steering wheel, move the shifter into reverse and begin backing up slowly.\u00a0 The system will manoeuvre the vehicle.\u00a0 Be sure to watch your mirrors and your surroundings for any objects you may get to close to, \u00a0and continue to press the gas pedal and brake as needed.<\/p>\n<p>You can interrupt the parking process at anytime by simply grasping the wheel or pressing the activation button.\u00a0 Keep in mind as the car is moving into the spot, the rear parking aid chime will become more rapid the closer you get to an object and another chime will let you know when its time to shift your car into drive and straighten it out in the spot.<\/p>\n<p>When the system completes the final manoeuvres, you\u2019ll hear a final chime and see a message that the parking is finished.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Did you know your Ford can really help you with parallel parking?\u00a0 It can, thanks to advanced technology Ford calls Active Park Assist.\u00a0 Here are a few simple steps you\u2019ll need to use it.
