How to activate the Wi-Fi hotspot function in your Ford model<\/h3>\n

SYNC Connect with WI-FI hotspot capability allows passengers to\u00a0stream music, or a movie, and connect to social media or work while on the go. But first, to get your Wi-Fi hotspot activated, you\u2019ll first want to be sure that your vehicle is turned on \u2013 then, direct your attention to your SYNC\u00ae touchscreen, locate the \u201cWi-Fi & Hotspot\u201d menu, and follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Verify that your Wi-Fi hotspot is on and recognizable by pressing the \u201cToggle\u201d button to On.<\/li>\n
  2. You\u2019ll see an SSID appear in the \u201cSettings\u201d tab \u2013 take note of this, as you\u2019ll need it to connect to the hotspot from your device.<\/li>\n
  3. In the bottom center of your touchscreen, press the \u201cEdit\u201d button and be sure that \u201cWi-Fi Visibility\u201d is toggled to the\u00a0\u201cOn\u201d\u00a0position.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. In your device\u2019s Wi-Fi menu, click on or press the SSID that has been provided to you, and then input your password \u2013 the default password should be provided to you on your touchscreen.<\/li>\n
    3. Press the \u201cJoin\u201d button and wait for a few seconds while pairing occurs. You should receive a confirmation that you\u2019re online once this is completed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
