First, to get inside your Ford, you may want to check whether you have a\u00a0Ford SYNC Connect\u00ae\u00a0equipped vehicle and the FordPass app installed on your smartphone. From there, you can pair it up with your vehicle.\u00a0Vehicles equipped with Sync Connect, starting with the 2016 model year, can be remotely unlocked using the\u00a0FordPass app\u00a0without the need for your key fob.\u00a0\u00a0It can also remotely start your vehicle and even find and pay for parking!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, you may not have a SYNC\u00ae Connect-equipped Ford vehicle. If this is the case, there are other easy options available to get you up and running. First, there’s a hidden key inside the Ford key fob, so you’re not stranded without a key to open the door!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Second, once inside, there’s a mechanical key slot, either on your steering column or in the centre console.\u00a0 Simply insert the dead fob as a key, and now you’re ready to push button start the engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
