The time has come to welcome the all-electric 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Not to replace the Mustang coupe that we all love, the world\u2019s most popular sports coupe. For the first time in 55 years, Ford is expanding the Mustang line-up with the all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV <\/a><\/strong>joining the sports coupe, convertible, and special editions, featuring an all-new infotainment system and connected vehicle technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Exhilarating Performance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

With the first all-electric member of the Mustang family, Ford harnessed the power of electrification to craft a vehicle that\u2019s as exciting to drive as its predecessors while also delivering a new, uniquely tailored experience. There will also be a Mach-E targeting 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, making it faster off the line than a Porsche Macan Turbo 3 and a GT Performance Edition, targeting 60 miles per hour in the mid-3-second range, comparable to a Porsche 911 GTS with an estimated 459 horsepower and 612 ft.-lbs of torque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making its debut in the Mach-E is the next-generation SYNC communications and entertainment system. It’s a sleek and modern interface that uses machine learning to quickly learn drivers\u2019 preferences. It gets even better over time, thanks to advanced over-the-air updates.\u00a0 Next-generation SYNC’s 15.5-inch screen and adaptive dash card interact, ditching complicated menus<\/span>. This makes it easier to a<\/span>ccess features with touch, swipe, and pinch controls that every smartphone user will <\/span>recognize.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mustang Mach-E will be available with standard- and extended-range battery options, with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, powered by permanent-magnet motors.\u00a0 Equipped with an extended range battery and rear-wheel drive, Mach-E has a targeted estimated range of 500 kilometres.\u00a0 And the connected navigation system will identify up-to-date charging locations and prompt owners to charge at the most convenient points on each drive. This helps ensure they don’t have to worry about how much range they have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unique Driving Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mustang Mach-E delivers three unique drive experiences: Whisper, Engage, and Unbridled.\u00a0 Each offers finely tuned driving dynamics packaged with a unique sensory experience.\u00a0 Features include custom-designed vehicle responsiveness, such as sportier steering controls, ambient lighting, sound tuned for an authentic all-electric experience, and dynamic cluster animations tied to driving behaviour.\u00a0 A new all-wheel-drive system (eAWD) will be available, applying torque independently to the front and rear axles. This delivers impressive acceleration and improved handling compared to the rear-wheel-drive model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mustang Inside and Out<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Mach-E is instantly recognizable as a Mustang, thanks to signature elements such as its long, powerful hood, rear-haunch design, aggressive headlights, and trademark tri-bar tail lamps. Clever design and engineering deliver surprising rear seat roominess and ample cargo space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More Space for Your Adventures<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Along with its all-new propulsion system, the Mach-E holds another surprise under its hood: a drainable front trunk storage unit.\u00a0 With 4.8 cubic feet of storage, the front trunk<\/span> comfortably holds a carry-on <\/span>bag and several smaller bags. And because it\u2019s drainable, you can easily fill it with ice and keep your favourite beverages cold.\u00a0 <\/span>Now that\u2019s perfect for a pre-game tailgate or trip to the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers can now visit the Mustang Mach-E reservation site<\/strong><\/a> to make a $500 reservation deposit. The 2021 Mustang Mach-E began arriving at EV Certified Ford dealers, such as Sherwood Ford, in late 2020.\u00a0 A limited First Edition will be available in extended-range all-wheel drive. It will offer red-painted brake calipers, metallic pedal covers, contrasting seat stitching, and a scuff plate marked “First Edition.” Those looking for the thrill of the Mach-E GT can make reservations now. Deliveries start in spring 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
