2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost \u2013 power ratings<\/span> <\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A Ford truck wouldn\u2019t be itself without impressive power ratings. The electric motor of the PowerBoost system creates up to 47 horsepower on its own. What does that translate into? The 2021 Ford F-150 with a PowerBoost power-train can tow up to 12,000 pounds.  <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, PowerBoost is targeting best-in-class torque and horsepower ratings. Ford has yet to announce exact power and torque figures for the PowerBoost setup, but we expect to have those soon. The PowerBoost is an extra-cost option on all 2021 Ford F-150 SuperCrew models, but the price will depend on the trim level.  <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Trucks sometimes get a bad rep for fuel economy ratings, but that isn\u2019t true of all trucks. The <\/span>PowerBoost<\/span> system utilizes regenerative braking, which means that some of the energy <\/span>that is wasted in coming to a stop will be used to power your vehicle. This will improve the fuel economy. EPA estimates for fuel economy will be available later in 2020.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
