How do you use the <\/span>FordPass<\/span> Remote Start feature on your Ford vehicle? It is as simple as downloading an application on your compatible smartphone.   1. Make sure that you have the right supplies.<\/strong>

    You need the available\u00a0FordPass\u00a0Connect in your vehicle and a compatible smartphone with the\u00a0FordPass\u00a0app downloaded. If you don\u2019t have the app, you can download it from your app store.\u00a0<\/p> <\/li>

  2. Login to the\u00a0FordPass\u00a0app.\u00a0<\/strong>

    You can use your Ford owner account login information. Otherwise, register as a new user.<\/p> <\/li>

  3. Add your vehicle to the app.<\/strong>

    If your vehicle is compatible, then you\u2019ll get a popup telling you to add your vehicle. Press \u201cAdd.\u201d<\/p> <\/li>

  4. Add any additional compatible Ford vehicles that you own.<\/strong>

    The home screen of the app has an \u201cAdd Vehicle\u201d button for any other Ford vehicles that you wish to connect to. You\u2019ll have to scan the VIN of the\u00a0vehicle\u00a0using your phone\u2019s camera.\u00a0Once scanned, the vehicle can be named, and you can get started.\u00a0<\/p> <\/li>

  5. Activate\u00a0FordPass\u00a0Connect for the first time.<\/strong>

    \u00a0Press the \u201cActivate Vehicle\u201d button on your application. In a few minutes, start up your vehicle. The\u00a0FordPass\u00a0Connect screen will show a request to allow activation. Click \u201cAllow.\u201d<\/p> <\/li>

  6. Now you can get started using remote features from your app!<\/strong>
