However, we know that it can be difficult to keep up with a video. For your sake, we\u2019ve taken the steps from the video and transcribed them here, in case you need to review the steps for installation at any point.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233279&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Gather your materials: two IP68 waterproof rated lighting strips, one soldering kit, one roll of electrical tape, one package of electrical shrink-wrap, one IP68 waterproof rated switch, one pair of wire strippers, one pack of push-pin cable ties, one piece of scrap wire, and one heat gun.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Disconnect the battery before getting started.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Remove the 12-volt access cover on your truck\u2019s D-pillar and pull the wire harness from the holder.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Unwind the tape connecting the wire.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Thread the wire from the top of the pillar down to the harness.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Use your electrical tape to secure the end of the wire to the matching connector pigtail provided with your Ford Maverick truck.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Pull the wire from the top so that you have sufficient length of the pigtail to solder to your accessory.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Strip the wire from the accessory using the wire stripper.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Slide the shrink-wrap onto the wires before making a joint.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Solder the red wire on your truck to the red wire on your accessory.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Solder the black wire on your truck to the black wire on your accessory.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Slide the shrink-wrap onto the joint.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Heat the shrink-wrap until it is tight around your solder joint.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Push the connector plate back inside the D-pillar of your truck.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Use cable ties to attach the light strip so that they are directed toward the adjacent bedside.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Determine the location you want for your switch and install it into your truck.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">Reconnect the battery in your truck, and you are ready to go!&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-100\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-black-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherwoodford.ca\/blog\/how-much-can-the-2022-maverick-tow\/\">2022 Ford Maverick towing capacity<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How to install bed rail lighting on a Ford Maverick truck&nbsp; Can you equip a 2022 Ford Maverick with truck bed lighting?
