Even with all the advancements of medical technology in today\u2019s world, cancer is still a disease that\u2019s all too common \u2013 it has an ability to devastate families and communities, but it gives us hope that there are so many people in Edmonton and surrounding areas who never give up hope in combating the dangers that it presents. That\u2019s why our Sherwood Ford team is so proud to be partnering with Chase the Cure\u00a0 YEG throughout August in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation \u2013 check out how below!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Our Partnership with Chase the Cure YEG\u2019s Race of Honour on August 6\u00a0<\/h3>\n

Simply put, Chase the Cure YEG is a volunteer run charity organization comprised of race car drivers, family, friends and crew that have made it a main goal to raise awareness for cancer research and prevention. On August 6 at Edmonton International Raceway from 3-11 pm, they\u2019ll be hosting their 5th Annual Event, a race that will give spectators a great time for an even better cause.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Besides the car racing, the event will also include an Edmonton Mustang Social Club<\/a> Show N’ Shine, a silent auction, halftime live entertainment featuring Delany Tuff, and much more when you attend at the Edmonton International Raceway at 244047A, Township Rd 464, Wetaskiwin. You\u2019re more than welcome to donate to the event via this link<\/a> \u2013 the current fundraising goal is $10,000, which we\u2019re sure won\u2019t be hard to reach.\u00a0 Receive 10% off your Sherwood Ford Service bill when you make a donation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All proceeds and donations to the Race of Honour will be used to benefit the Alberta Cancer Foundation in its pursuit of research and prevention of the disease \u2013 we\u2019re happy to announce that as part of our partnership with the organization, our very own #NATIONTRUCK will be the official pace car for the races!\u00a0<\/p>\n

How can I donate to Chase the Cure YEG if I can’t attend Race of\u00a0Honour?\u00a0\u00a0<\/h3>\n

If you can\u2019t make it out to the races on August 6th, don\u2019t worry! Throughout August, for every test drive that\u2019s taken at Sherwood Ford, we\u2019ll donate $10 to Chase The Cure YEG to support the foundation and its causes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
