We\u2019re so fortunate here at Sherwood Ford to be able to support the community that we live, work and play in. The people of Edmonton, Strathcona County and all surrounding areas mean the world to us, which is why we\u2019re proud to show you our community event recap for November 2019 \u2013 it was quite the busy time for\u00a0us, but\u00a0rewarding in every way!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stuff-A-Giant-Truck & Test Drive Events<\/span><\/h3>\n

Throughout November, we helped partner with the Strathcona County Christmas Bureau and\u00a0<\/span>OilersNation<\/span>\u00a0for our annual Stuff-A-Giant-Truck event, where we encouraged those in the Edmonton metro area to come to our dealership and donate supplies into one of our F-150s. It was a huge success, as we were able to fill the truck and deliver it to the bureau with plenty of smiles.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Strathcona County Christmas Bureau Hamper Donation<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Together with volunteers from\u00a0<\/span>OilersNation<\/span>, our team also helped to build and assemble hampers for over 500 Strathcona County families. All told, our total donations to the Strathcona County Christmas Bureau\u00a0<\/span>totalled<\/span>\u00a0$2,200! The organization\u2019s overall goal is $100,000, and if you\u2019d like to\u00a0make a donation, we encourage you to head over to their official website<\/a> \u2013 thank you in advance!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Sherwood Ford &\u00a0<\/span>OilersNation<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Movember<\/span>\u00a0Campaign<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Anxiety, testicular cancer, prostate cancer and suicide are issues that are all too common for men in our area, so our teams combined to put on a fundraising campaign for the\u00a0<\/span>Movember<\/span>\u00a0Organization. Throughout November, our Mo Bros were able to donate $1,400 towards the organization\u2019s effort, and there\u2019s still time to donate if you would like to do so. We\u2019ve included a link to our campaign page here!<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

We Scare Hunger Heroes<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

We partnered with Lakeland Ridge School for our annual We Scare Hunger program, and in total we were able to donate 850 items of food to the Strathcona Food Bank. We\u2019d also like to say congrats to Lakeland Ridge\u2019s own Penelope, a Grade 3 student who won tickets to an Oilers game for being our Hunger Hero. Great work, Penelope!<\/span><\/p>\n

We also were able to team up with M.E. LaZerte school students from Edmonton, and the kids helped us donate Giant Customs F-150 loaded with food to the Edmonton Food Bank. Together with Ford of Canada’s Edmonton Ford Dealers, we brought in a grand total of over 17,000 pounds of food!<\/p>\n

Santa Visits\u00a0<\/span>Beaners<\/span>\u00a0Fun Cuts for Kids<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Together with the\u00a0<\/span>Kinette<\/span>\u00a0Club of Edmonton and\u00a0<\/span>Beaner\u2019s<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Fun Cuts for Kids<\/a>, Sherwood Ford\u2019s own Santa Claus visited the barbershop and helped give many lucky kids from Edmonton Norwood Elementary School some awesome makeovers. Being able to brighten these kids\u2019 days is always one of the most rewarding parts of the year for our team!<\/span><\/p>\n
