{"id":418,"date":"2016-09-22T22:28:40","date_gmt":"2016-09-22T22:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dealerfireblog.com\/sherwoodfordcommunity\/?p=418"},"modified":"2024-05-30T07:34:58","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T07:34:58","slug":"we-scare-hunger-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sherwoodford.ca\/community\/we-scare-hunger-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"WE Scare Hunger 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hunger is a supervillain who makes life harder for hundreds of residents\u00a0throughout Strathcona County.\u00a0For a child struggling with hunger, one meal could mean the difference between having the energy to succeed in school and failing a test, or between staying healthy and getting sick.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>WE Scare Hunger 2016<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Sherwood Ford has enrolled with Ford Canada on a local community initiative dedicated to collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations to support the Strathcona Food Bank and raise awareness of local hunger. Together with Lakeland Ridge School, Sherwood Park Crusaders and the Sherwood Park News, we hope to make a GIANT difference!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">We&#8217;re\u00a0passionate about enriching our local community\u00a0and\u00a0are committed with local partners to raise donations to help end local hunger.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Earlier this year in March Sherwood Ford\u00a0helped to collect and donate over 2 thousand pounds of food to Strathcona Food Bank. Strathcona County Mayor Roxanne Carr knows some residents are struggling and encourages everyone who can help to volunteer and donate!
