The greatest point of pride that our Sherwood Ford team holds dear is our engagement in the Edmonton community<\/a>. We\u2019re proud to be able to serve the great residents of North Central Alberta, and it brings us so much joy to give back to those that support us and make us the large, growing family that we are. October was a busy month for our team, so join us today as we take you through our Sherwood Ford October 2018 Community Event Recap!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ford\u00a0FunZone\u00a0Edmonton Oilers Hockey Game for Strathcona Warriors<\/h3>\n

Rogers Place is the epicentre of entertainment in the Edmonton area, especially when Connor McDavid, Leon\u00a0Draisaitl and the Oilers take the ice for home games. It was our privilege to provide the Strathcona Warriors \u2013 Strathcona’s minor league hockey team \u2013 with tickets for a game in the Ford\u00a0FunZone, as the Oilers beat the Boston Bruins in overtime on October 18. 20 players, coaches and team parents were in attendance, and they even got a shout-out on the video board!<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t end there \u2013 we also sponsored the team further by providing them with brand new jerseys. Overall, it was a great experience to give our boys an experience they\u2019ll never forget!<\/p>\n

Krysta-Brown Inch MS Bike Fundraiser Sponsorship<\/h3>\n

Every year, Krysta-Brown Inch takes part in the annual MS Bike fundraiser, intended to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis and continued efforts toward its prevention. She\u2019s raised over $41,000 over the years with her bike, and this year, we sponsored her with a $1,000 donation for her efforts in helping to prevent this disease!<\/p>\n

WE Scare Hunger Food Drive Donation<\/h3>\n

Hunger is something that nobody in our community should have to go through, but unfortunately, it\u2019s all too common. To\u00a0help out\u00a0in providing the residents of Edmonton with meals and support, we partnered with Sherwood Park\u2019s Lakeland Ridge School to deliver over 800 (!) food items to the Strathcona County Food Bank as part of the \u201cWE Scare Hunger\u201d food drive. Big\u00a0shout-out\u00a0to the\u00a0OilersNation\u00a0#NATIONTRUCK for\u00a0helping out\u00a0with delivery \u2013 you can read more about it below!<\/p>\n
