Does the 2018 Ford EcoSport have All-Wheel Drive capabilities?

2018 Ford EcoSport engine specs and drivetrain features

Though we hate to admit it, our area of the world is especially prone to heavy amounts of snow and other wintry activity, which can make the roads to and from work a challenge to navigate. Especially on days that are more slippery and slick than usual, you need a vehicle by your side with a high-tech, capable all-wheel-drive system. That’s exactly what Ford’s new crossover can provide, as its EcoSport model has proven to be a top performer in areas such as efficiency and control over the road. To see what we mean, come with our Sherwood Ford team today as we run through the 2018 Ford EcoSport engine specs and drivetrain features!

2018 Ford EcoSport engine options and performance specs

For a starting MSRP south of $22,000, the 2018 Ford EcoSport can bring you all the power and precision you expect out of a high-quality crossover. It brings two available engines into the fold, in the form of a 1.0-litre EcoBoost® Inline 3 (able to produce 123 horsepower) or a 2.0-litre Inline 4, which can churn out 166 horsepower. Both are more than able to raise not only your excitement but your spirits as you drive!

2018 Ford EcoSport drivetrain features and fuel efficiency

The latter of the EcoSport’s engines will bring an Intelligent 4WD system along for the ride, which helps to provide power to the wheels that need it most on the road. In addition, Hill Start Assist technology is in place to assist you in shifting power when you’re scaling sharp inclines. Neither of these innovations will sacrifice your overall fuel economy, however, as you can still expect to achieve a rating as low as 8.1 L/100 km on the highway!
