That’s a clear indicator of a hard-working, blue-collar model, but the Ford Super Duty dares to take this one step further thanks to its available Tremor Off-Road package, which now includes a winch onboard!
Today, we want to show you the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package Winch Features, in order to give you a better idea of what it’ll be able to do if you’re ever in a hairy situation. Check it out below with Sherwood Ford!
First things first, the Super Duty’s Tremor Off-Road winch, provided by Warn, has been developed with crash safety and functionality as top priorities; with a high-tensile strength and abrasion-resistant cable, you’ll be able to drag anything out of the mud or over an obstacle that might be too much for your chassis to handle.
We say “anything” because this winch is one of the strongest in the business. In fact, it has a maximum winching power of 12,000 pounds! Add this to a maximum towing capacity of 15,000 pounds for Tremor-equipped Super Duty models, and 21,900 pounds of towing on diesel models (with 4,210 pounds of towing capacity to boot) it’s no wonder why this package is so trusted by so many.
Currently, the Tremor Off-Road package is only an option if you own a 2020 F-250 or F-350 Super Duty, in XLT, Lariat, King Ranch or Platinum trims. Also, you’ll want to be sure that your vehicle is outfitted with the new 7.3-litre gasoline V8 engine, or third-gen 6.7-litre Power Stroke® diesel. Pricing for the winch, going on sale in mid-2020, is not confirmed. We’ll be sure to update you when we have figures in CAD.
