2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Performance and Handling Features

How powerful is the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1?

Ford is bringing back an old model and giving it new performance features. The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 will be a powerful and responsive vehicle. Keep reading below to learn more about the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 performance and handling features.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 – transmission type

The transmission of a vehicle has a very direct impact on how you handle the experience. Of course, a manual transmission will give you a more hands-on drive, while an automatic transmission will change gears for you. Both types of transmissions are loved by different people.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 features a standard six-speed manual transmission. There is also an available 10-speed automatic transmission for those who prefer automatic. If you want the Handling Package, which adds performance features, you’ll need to opt for the Tremec ™ 3160 6-speed manual transmission.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 – engine type

As you may know, the engine of a vehicle is directly responsible for the power output of the vehicle. Larger, more efficient engines usually correlate with higher horsepower and torque ratings. If you’re concerned with vehicle performance, the engine is the first place to look.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is equipped with a 5 L V8 engine. This engine achieves up to 480 horsepower at 7,000 rpm. For torque, it is rated at 420 pound-feet at 4,600 rpm.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 – wheel type

Wheels are often lumped in with performance features. Most likely, your vehicle’s wheels won’t impact power ratings or any performance outputs. However, your vehicle’s tires will have an impact on traction and handling, which is perhaps why wheels are sometimes considered a performance feature.

The wheels of the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 are 19-inch, five-spoke Tarnished Dark-painted aluminum. The Handling Package comes with its own exclusive wheel option.
