Twin-Scroll 2.0L EcoBoost®

Our first engine choice on the 2018 Edge is the Twin-Scroll 2.0L EcoBoost. This engine combines an integrated exhaust manifold as well as an active oil control system in order to maximize the efficiency of the turbocharged twin-scroll engine. Because the high-pressure direct-injection fuel system knows the exact amount of fuel needed, it is able to reduce waste while improving horsepower, torque, and overall efficiency.

2.7L EcoBoost®

The powerful twin-turbo 2.7L EcoBoost engine on the 2018 Edge has a light and compact graphite iron engine block that features aluminum heads in order to make a lighter engine. Because of its light weight, the 2.7L EcoBoost is able to pump out an incredible 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque! When properly equipped, this engine makes the 2018 Edge the most powerful gas V6 in its class.

3.5L Ti-VCT

Our final available engine on the 2018 Edge is a 3.5L twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) engine that cranks out up to 280 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The unique thing about this engine is that it is able to eliminate the performance compromise normal valve-timing engines produce. Because there is no performance compromise, this engine is able to provide maximum performance throughout the entire low, mid, and high ranges of the power band.
