Movie buffs and car enthusiasts alike are going to fall in love with what Ford has recently released at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this week: the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt.
Even if you haven’t seen the 1968 classic Bullitt, you’ve probably seen the memorable chase scene between the Mustang Bullitt and a Dodge Charger through San Francisco and out into the outskirts of town, ending badly for the Charger. After all these years, Ford has finally announced that the Mustang Bullitt is back to revive its legendary silver-screen performance with all-new levels of power. The new limited-edition Mustang Bullitt will feature a 5.0L V8 engine that is capable of cranking out 475 horsepower, and an eye-popping 420 lb-ft of torque. The Mustang Bullitt has been designed to be one of the fastest Mustang models to date, topping out at around 262 km/hr. The Mustang Bullitt will be outfitted with a manual transmission, providing you with the classic feel of a late-60’s muscle car, just like the original.
Included with the Mustang Bullitt will be all the features packaged in the Mustang GT Premium and Performance packages. This will allow for a fully-modern yet classic-looking car that is sure to turn more than a few heads each time you drive around the block. The heated leather steering wheel will be perfect for those chilly autumn days when you want to make the most out of your trip to the grocery store, and the 12-inch all-digital LCD instrument cluster will feature a unique Bullitt welcome screen with an image of the car rather than the pony as is displayed on other Mustang screens.
