Ford has a monstrous new V8 engine coming!

Power features and availability for the new Ford 7.3-litre V8 engine

Throughout the generations, “Built Ford Tough” has become an iconic phrase in just about every facet of the Canadian pickup market. Ford trucks are counted upon to be stronger, more versatile and more durable than anyone else in the competition, which is why they’re consistently best-sellers throughout Canada. For 2020, Super Duty pickups have a significant upgrade coming, so check out the power features and availability for the new Ford 7.3-litre V8 engine with Sherwood Ford today!

New Ford 7.3-litre V8 power specs and drivetrain

Unsurprisingly, the Super Duty’s new 7.3-litre V8 touts best-in-class horsepower and torque output from gasoline-powered engines. It can crank out a maximum of 430 horsepower (achieved at 5,500 revolutions per minute) and 485 pound-feet of torque, which is achieved at 4,000 rpm. Thanks to an improved overhead valve architecture, this allows it to produce much more power and torque at lower engine speeds, giving you that added boost when you’re towing something heavy.

If you opt for this engine, it will be paired up with a 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift® automatic transmission, designed exclusively for use in Ford’s high-end, strongest pickups. This transmission is designed to give you ample throttle response and a smoother drive for whatever you’re trying to accomplish.
