The true hallmark of the Shelby – and any other Ford performance model, really – is the amount of raw adrenaline it’s able to crank out. You’ll find a 5.2-litre V8 engine hiding under the hood – well, not really hiding, just waiting for its time to shine. When it is time, you can let it rip to the tune of 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. A TREMEC® six-speed transmission is also available, which offers its own coolers to keep at an ideal temperature, and help you get all the traction response and smooth shifting you need.
Those figures aren’t new to the Shelby GT350, but thanks to its increased traction and updated design (which we’ll cover in a bit), you can expect an even faster ride when you press the pedal. It can race from 0 to 100 kph in four seconds, much quicker than in previous iterations.
The enhanced performance of the 2019 Shelby GT350 can be attributed to bold new design features, which have left it more aerodynamic than prior years. This is thanks to a new rear spoiler, custom Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and a new Gurney flap. You’ll also get an upgraded chassis and antilock brake tuning advancements in the guts of the Shelby, which can help you achieve a much greater grip over the pavement.
