The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning has the ability to offload 9.6 kW of power. To give you an idea of how much that is, a fridge uses between one and two kW of power over the course of an entire day. It is enough power to use your most important appliances, keep your food cold, and provide some climate control in your home when the power goes out.
Ultimately, the most applicable use of the Ford Intelligent Backup Power feature is to power your house during an outage. Ford said in a recent press release that it will introduce Ford Intelligent Power in the future.
