What will the Ford model lineup look like by 2020?

2020 Ford Model Lineup Preview and New Vehicles

For the better part of the last century, we’ve trusted Ford to bring us vehicles at the top of the game, both when it comes to advanced innovations and class-leading performance. Never content with staying stagnant, the family is set to cause quite the splash on the market by the 2020 model year, and we’re excited to show you what’s been developed. Without further ado, join Sherwood Ford as we check out the 2020 Ford model lineup preview, as well as some new vehicles to keep an eye on!

What vehicles is Ford keeping for 2020?

Perhaps the most drastic change in the Ford philosophy for 2020 will be the elimination of all sedan types, with a newfound emphasis on pickup trucks, SUVs and, most importantly, fully electric/hybrid vehicles. As part of this strategy, Ford will be introducing hybrid technology to some of its top-selling models, such as the F-150, Mustang, Explorer, Escape, and the all-new Bronco!

This decision comes on the heels of recent sales figures, which estimate that SUV sales alone account for over 50 per cent of industry sales in the United States. By 2020, Ford has said that it will have eight SUV models, including new performance lines for the Escape and Explorer. In addition, Ford is set to debut new Transit and E-Series vehicles by the 2020 model year, a decision sure to excite commercial vehicle customers.

New Tech and Drivetrain Features on 2020 Ford vehicles

In order to stay on the cutting edge of tech innovation, all new Ford vehicles are projected to include 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity, letting all passengers be in line for blazing-fast internet connection. Also, drivers can expect the Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assistance suite to come standard, which includes enough technology to protect from all sides!
