5 Types of Moonroof Styles on 2017 Ford Vehicles

Depending on which 2017 Ford vehicle you and your family add to your garage, you’ll be treated to one of five moonroof options!

There’s nothing quite like the natural beauty that the Alberta countryside. In order to bring in the natural beauty into the cabin of your new Ford, many models come with an available moonroof to let in light, and to allow your family to enjoy breath-taking views all year round. The designers at Ford knew that just having one moonroof wasn’t enough, so they designed and created five different moonroofs to engulf your Ford vehicle in natural light.

More Ford Technology 

Multi-Panel Vista Roof®

Available on the Ford Flex, this moonroof has four panels that bring in natural light. You won’t need to configure anything, simply press and release the SLIDE control to open or close the front panel and enjoy the fresh air.

Panoramic Fixed-Glass Vista Roof®

This moonroof is available on the C-Max Hybrid and Energi, as well as the Transit Connect models. Like the Multi-Panel roof, there is nothing that you’ll need to do to set it up. Press and release the front of the control to open and close the sunshade.

Panoramic Vista Roof®

Available on Edge and Escape models, the Panoramic Vista Roof will open only after the sunshades are completely open. In order to open the roof, you’ll have to press and release the control, wait for the sunshade to stop short of its fully-open position, then press and release the control again to fully open.

Power Moonroof

Hold on to your seats. The Power Moonroof is available on the Expedition, Focus, F-150 SuperCab and Super Duty®, Fusion, Fiesta, and the Taurus. The moonroof controls are located on the overhead console and have a one-touch open and close feature. Just make sure the sunshade is open first.

Twin-Panel Moonroof

Finally, the Twin-panel Moonroof is available on the Ford Explorer and F-150 SuperCrew®. To open and close the panel, all you’ll need to do is press and release the SLIDE control. The sunshade will automatically open itself if it’s closed when you open the moonroof.
