Farmers’ Markets 2016 near Edmonton, AB

Farmers’ Markets provide an outstanding opportunity to browse and buy a variety of locally grown and homemade products. The Edmonton, AB area features several notable Farmers’ Markets during 2016—here are a few great ones to check out.

City Market Downtown

For delicious farm-fresh produce, local meats, and a wide array of crafts, stop by City Market Downtown, which takes place on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. all year long. The market is held inside the Edmonton City Hall from October to May and outside on 104th Street in Edmonton from May to Thanksgiving. Read more.

Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market

The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market takes place every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at 10301 – 83 Avenue NW in Edmonton with free parking across the street. The Market has been going on since 1983 and includes a variety of locally produced, handmade products. Read more.

South Common Farmers’ Market

The South Common Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Parsons Road NW in Edmonton. You will be able to find products from a wide array of local businesses, including fresh fruits and vegetables, crafts, kids’ activities, and more! Read more.

Millwoods Farmers’ Market

Open Thursdays between June 2, 2016 and October 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., the Millwoods Farmers’ Market takes place in the Millwoods Rec Centre parking lot. The market features fresh produce, music, baked goods, and crafts, among other items. Read more.

Sherwood Park Farmers’ Market

The Sherwood Park Farmers’ Market takes place year-round on every Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Strathcona County Community Centre. The market features fresh local produce, meats, bakery items, and a variety of jewelry, clothing, and other crafts. Read more.

St. Albert Farmers’ Market

The St Albert Farmers’ Market is held outside on Saturdays from June 11,2016 to October 8, 2016. The market takes place from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on St. Anne and St. Thomas Streets in front of St. Albert Place.
