How to adjust side-view mirrors on the 2017 Ford F-150

One of the most important parts of safe driving is making sure your vehicle’s side-view mirrors are adjusted properly. Fortunately, we have created a step-by-step guide detailing how to adjust the outside mirrors on your 2017 Ford F-150 in a way that reduces your blind spot and allows you to see more of your vehicle surroundings.

7 Steps to move your 2017 F-150’s outside mirrors

  1. In order to adjust your outside mirrors, you must first make sure your F-150 is turned on But do NOT move your mirrors while the vehicle is in motion.
  2. Using the button and switches on the driver’s side door armrest, you can then alter the position of the mirrors.
  3. Move the middle switch to the left to adjust the driver’s side mirror.
  4. Lean your head toward the driver’s side window and use the circle-shaped button to move the mirror up, down, left, and right. With your head tilted, you should barely be able to see the side of your F-150 through the mirror.
  5. Next, move the centre switch to the right to adjust the passenger’s side mirror.
  6. Tilt your head so it is above the centre console and use the circle-shaped button to move the mirror up, down, left, and right until you can barely see the side of the vehicle.
  7. When you are finished, move the middle switch back to the centre position to avoid accidentally changing the side-view mirror position..

BEWARE: You may be accustomed to being able to see the side of your F-150 in your outside mirrors, so it might take some time to get used to your new view. The advantage of adjusting your outside mirrors in this way is to help reduce your blind spot and be able to see as much of your vehicle’s surroundings as possible.
