Blind Spot Information System

Available on the 2018 Ford Escape is a Blind Spot Information System, or BLIS®. This system uses sensors located along the side panels of the vehicle to scan the lanes behind you. If it detects a vehicle approaching or entering your blind spot, it will send you a visible warning on the corresponding side-view mirror. While it’s always recommended to physically check your blind spots, this feature can easily help give you an idea of what’s going on alongside of you.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Another available safety feature on the 2018 Escape is the Adaptive Cruise Control system. By utilizing radar on the front of the vehicle, your Escape will be able to constantly monitor the distance between your vehicle, and the one in front of you while you’re cruising. It will automatically speed your vehicle up, or slow it down in order to keep you at a safe distance behind others, and will automatically bring you back to your cruising speed once traffic clears up.

While there are many more ways that the 2018 Escape keeps you and your family safe on the roads, we’ll end our list here. Besides, the best way for you to see how the 2018 Escape will keep you safe is to see it for yourself! Come on over to our dealership here in Sherwood Park to check out a 2018 Ford Escape. You can even schedule your test drive right here on our website before you leave your living room!
