Standard and Available Features on 2018 Ford Super Duty Models

Last month down in Lower Canada, Texas to be exact, Ford unveiled the new line of 2018 Super Duty models. They also released a new trim for these heavy-duty trucks, the Limited trim, and with this new trim comes a lot of new technology.

Most of us don’t often think of a heavy-duty work truck like a member of the Ford Super Duty line as being in the luxury vehicle class. Thanks to the newly-offered Limited trim, Ford has proven that just because your truck works harder than other trucks, that doesn’t mean it can’t be the most luxurious vehicle on the road.

2018 Ford Super Duty Technology

In addition to rivaling even the most expensive cars in terms of luxury, the 2018 Super Duty Limited models are bringing technology never before seen in the heavy-duty pickup class. The class-exclusive Blind Spot Information System, for example, doesn’t just watch over your truck’s blind spot, it is able to monitor your trailer’s blind spot as well!

The Lane-Keeping alert is another useful technology included with the Limited trim Super Duty models. Sensors located in the front of the truck are able to determine your exact position on the road. If this system detects that you are beginning to unintentionally veer out of your lane, it will send you alerts in order to help keep you in the correct position.

Another class-exclusive technology added to the 2018 Super Duty Limited is adaptive cruise control. By selecting a distance that you prefer to keep between your truck and the vehicle in front of you, your Super Duty will be able to automatically adjust its speed in order to maintain that distance.
