Technology Features on the 2018 Ford EcoSport

Take a step into the future of driving by taking a look at some of the innovative and incredible technologies both standard and available on the 2018 Ford EcoSport.

Thanks to its many ground-breaking technologies, it might be easier to talk about the things that the EcoSport can’t do, which isn’t much, by the way. Powerful engine choices and exceptional capability both on and off the road have already made the 2018 EcoSport a popular choice among those looking for an exhilarating ride, but just wait until they learn about all the technological features the EcoSport can provide them!

Our Ford Inventory

Blind Spot Information System®

Often referred to as BLIS, the Blind Spot Information System utilizes a radar system located along the side panels of the EcoSport in order to detect when other vehicles are in your blind spot. When the system does detect another vehicle, it will send you a warning light on the corresponding side-view mirror in order to let you know that it’s not safe to switch lanes. Even with this advanced technology, we always recommend you physically checking before merging, however.

MyKey®

The Ford MyKey technology allows you and your partner to program your own individual keys in order to personalize the way your EcoSport drives. Some settings that can be adjusted on the MyKey are top speed, fuel alerts, safety-belt reminders, and maximum audio. By programming the separate keys, the EcoSport will be able to identify who is driving, and will automatically change the settings over to the ones that you have selected.

Touchscreen Navigation

Available on the 2018 EcoSport is a voice-activated touchscreen navigation system. This system is located on the centre dash and utilizes 3-D mapping to provide you with an accurate map of where you’re going. Because the navigation system is activated with the sound of your voice, you won’t need to take your hands off of the steering wheel, or your eyes off of the road in order to get directions to your child’s hockey game, your buddy’s cabin, or anywhere else.
