Technology Features on the 2018 Ford Explorer

Strong, capable, sophisticated, and smart. Some might say the 2018 Ford Explorer is the whole package.

You know that Ford has always remained on the front lines of vehicle technology, and the 2018 Explorer is no exception. Close your eyes. Now, imagine a world in which your smartphone seamlessly connects with your vehicle, allowing you to take your favorite apps, music, and more with you every time you drive. A world where your vehicle constantly monitors the road to detect when other vehicles are approaching. Where your vehicle pretty much parks itself. You can open your eyes now because thanks to the 2018 Ford Explorer, you don’t have to imagine anymore.

Active Park Assist

Available on the 2018 Explorer is the Enhanced Active Park Assist. This feature is perfect for anyone who doesn’t particularly enjoy parking into tight spots, or even parallel parking. By making use of ultrasonic sensors, the 2018 Explorer is capable of detecting a parking spot in which it will fit. When the Explorer finds a spot that it will fit inside of, it will then park itself! All you need to do is handle the brake, acceleration, and shifting.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Another available feature on the 2018 Explorer is an Adaptive Cruise Control system. This allows you to select a distance that you would like to keep between your Explorer and the car in front of you while cruising. Your Explorer will then automatically adjust its speed, depending on what the car in front of you does, in order to maintain the distance that you have chosen. When traffic opens up, you’ll cruise along just like normal.
