Towing Capability of the 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor

The Ford F-150 Raptor has always been known for its incredible performance and for the driving experience that it provides. But what about its towing capability?

The F-150 Raptor has been a favorite here at Sherwood Ford ever since its induction, and it’s very easy to see why. A bold and intimidating stance catches everyone’s eye, and lets them know that you mean business. The F-150 Raptor has been crafted and tested to handle even the most strenuous of off-road conditions, and time and time again it provides a smooth and exceptional ride that you’d expect from a luxury sedan rather than a powerful pickup. In addition to riding like a luxury car, the F-150 Raptor makes towing a breeze thanks to its available and standard towing technologies.

F-150 Raptor Towing Capability

With its powerful and efficient High-Output 3.5L V6 EcoBoost® engine, the 2018 F-150 Raptor cranks out an astounding 450 horsepower at 5,000 rpm. What’s even more impressive is the jaw-dropping 510 lb-ft or torque that this beast of an engine is capable of producing. All that power under the hood allows the F-150 Raptor Supercab to boast a maximum payload of 1,000 lbs. or 544kg. The F-150 Raptor Supercrew can haul even more with a max payload of up to 1,200 lbs. or 544 kg. With strength like that, you’ll be hard-pressed to find something that you won’t be able to carry in the bed. Payload capacity isn’t the only category that the F-150 Raptor excels at. The 2018 F-150 Raptor Supercab has an incredible maximum towing capacity of 6,000 lbs. or 2721 kg. and the Supercrew is even more impressive by towing up to 8,000 lbs. or 3628kg. If you’ve been looking for a reason to get a bigger boat, we think you may have just found it.

Raptor Towing Technology

Thanks to all that towing power, you’re probably going to find yourself hitching up the trailer more often. With the many towing technologies that the engineers at Ford have come up with, you’ll never break a sweat when someone asks you to tow something for them. A Trailer Sway Control system working to expand the dynamic stability control capability to make sure your trailer never moves in a way in which it shouldn’t. Another way to ensure your trailer doesn’t go anywhere is with the Hill Start Assist feature. This technology helps to prevent your truck and trailer from rolling backwards on any grade by keeping pressure on the brakes until the engine produces enough torque to push forward.

We know you’re dying to learn about more of the towing technologies that are both standard and available on the 2018 F-150 Raptor, but we believe that the best way to learn is to check one out for yourself. Come on over to our dealership here in Sherwood Park to view our inventory of the F-150 Raptor, as well as our other equally-amazing Ford pickups.
