Here are our top five recommendations for vehicle services to get done before winter. Of course, an oil change never hurts anyone either. Our technicians can give you some personal recommendations based on your vehicle. 

  • A battery inspection: Vehicle batteries are more susceptible to dying in cold weather. Get your vehicle’s battery inspected to see if it’s near the end of its lifespan. We also recommend packing some jumper cables into your trunk, among other winter gear. 
  • Tire replacement: In our area, it is important to switch to winter tires before it snows. Snow and ice are best handled by tires that are meant for this terrain. Switch before the first snow to make your life easier. 
  • Windshield wiper replacement: It is one thing to get streaks of rain across your windshield, quite another to get snow and ice stuck there. If your windshield wipers are not getting things clear, then it is time for a replacement. Thankfully, this is one of the least expensive parts replacements. 
  • A headlight check: Visibility is poor during winter weather storms. Make sure that your headlights are up to the test of lighting your way and making you visible for others. Check all of your lights, including turn signals. 
  • A heating system check: We really mean two things by this. First, check to make sure that your vehicle’s heating system is still working. Second, check to make sure your vehicle’s antifreeze system is working and the fluids are filled.
