What type of air filter does Ford use in its vehicles?

The Ford Refresh95 cabin air filter is assembled in the U.S. Its filter media is globally sourced, and it uses domestic parts. Local Ford dealerships will start to sell the Ford Refresh95 cabin air filter later this year. 

The cabin air filter reduces microscopic particles in the air that moves through the air conditioning system and ventilation system. By doing so, it can reduce allergens, provide clean air, and more.  

The Ford Refresh95 cabin air filter can remove at least 95% of 2.5-micron size particles. These may include traffic exhaust, metals, road dust, or organic material. It also traps up to 99% of certain allergens. Furthermore, it helps to filter city pollution and smog or soot from wildfires or dust storms. 

The Ford Refresh95 cabin air filter was tested in third-party laboratories. It completed certification testing. Testing included pressure drop testing. 

As we said, Ford plans to equip the majority of its lineup in two years. In the fourth quarter of 2021, it plans to make them available for Ford Bronco Sport, Escape, Explorer, Mustang Mach-E, and Maverick models. Drivers of other compatible models can purchase one at a Ford dealership later this year.
