Choosing to add a package to your vehicle is like choosing a phone case for your smartphone. It is fun to do, it can add functionality as well as style, and it helps personalize your property. The 2020 Ford Ranger comes with several available packages, and right now we’re going to highlight one of our favorites, the 2020 Ford Ranger FX4 Off-Road Package.
First, we’ll list the features that you can expect to get when you upgrade with the 2020 Ford Ranger FX4 Off-Road Package. Then, we’ll go into more detail on some of the top performers. The 2020 Ford Ranger FX4 Off-Road Package features are as follows:
Trail Control is like cruise control for your off-road adventures. Like cruise control, Trail Control helps you navigate more easily by keeping you at a steady pace. Unlike cruise control, Trail Control operates well in different terrains and at slow speeds.
The 2020 Ford Ranger was built for off-road even before this package was added. Thus, it has a tall ground clearance that helps protect its under-body. When you add the FX4 Off-Road Package, you get more protection with the exposed-steel front bash plate and undercarriage skid plates.
Available as a separate option or as part of the FX4 Off-Road Package, the electronic-locking rear differential system makes all the difference on tricky trails. It can lock the axle completely at both wheels, which helps you gain the traction you need. You’ll feel the difference right away.
