Which Ford F-150 ranks best for Off-road travel?

2020 Ford F-150 Raptor model for extreme off-road travel

Which Ford F-150 ranks best for Off-road travel? The 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor model has been equipped for the great outdoors. It is ready for your extreme off-road travel. Keep reading below to learn about the performance, off-road features of the 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor.

2020 Ford F-150 Raptor – tires and wheels

When you take your vehicle off the common path, your vehicle’s tires will need to make contact with a wealth of different terrain. That can be tough on tires, but the 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor comes with BFGoodrich ® All-Terrain KO2 Tires, which are built to withstand the toughest environments. The last thing you want is a flat tire when you are miles from a shop.

As for wheels, the 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor features available bead-lock-capable wheels. This means that they can air down the tires, which improves traction. You’ll need the Ford Performance Bead Lock Rim Kit to do it, but it’ll make your drive easier.

2020 Ford F-150 Raptor – shocks and damping

You don’t want to feel every bump in the road, especially when the road is full of them. This is where your truck’s shocks and damping come in. The 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor is equipped with class-exclusive FOX Live Valve mono-tube shocks. That’s class-exclusive for the Full-Size Pickups under 8,500 pounds class.

These shocks work with internal bypass technology and an electronic solenoid valve, providing your ride with continuously variable compression damping. You’ll notice the difference right away. Don’t let those rocky paths get the best of you.

2020 Ford F-150 Raptor – transfer case and rear differential

Traction is the name of the game with off-road driving. The transfer case and rear differential of the 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor are optimized to provide needed torque, to help with traction. The Torque-On-Demand ® transfer case can supply the front and the rear wheels with torque power, and it works automatically, so you don’t have to do anything.

Furthermore, this works with the electronic-locking rear differential, which locks the axle to give your 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor a firmer grip. You’ll gain a boost when you most need it, preventing sliding.
