For the 2027 Expedition, Ford has made a few minor updates. This light refresh brings you exciting new packages and paint options.
Exclusive to this model year, Ford is celebrating 30 years of the Expedition with a special edition model. The 30th Anniversary Appearance Package, based on the Platinum trim level, adds exclusive style features and a unique paint option: available Blue Ember Metallic paint.
Everyone loves choosing their SUV paint option. This year, you’ll have three new options. They include the aforementioned Blue Ember Metallic, which is exclusive to the 30th Anniversary Appearance Package; Bronze Fire Metallic Tinted Clearcoat; and Nocturnal Blue Metallic.
For 2027, you’ll enjoy the Ford Security Package as a standard feature of your Expedition. That’s right. This SUV comes with a one-year subscription to the Ford Security Package, and after that, you can get a monthly subscription. Make sure to activate your Ford Security Package after your purchase.
That’s all for updates and enhancements, but every model year can differ slightly in specifications. So, let’s review some key specifications of the Expedition SUV.
The maximum tow rating of the 2027 Expedition is up to 9,600 pounds, which is 4,354 kg. You’ll need a model equipped with 4×4 and the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package in order to achieve the highest tow rating possible.
In general, the 2027 Expedition seats either seven or eight passengers, depending on the configuration. More specifically, eight-passenger seating is standard on Expedition Active and MAX Active trim levels. Seven-passenger seating is standard on all other trim levels. However, you can find available models with other seating configurations, like Active models with captain’s chairs that seat seven.
The Ford Expedition is 5,331 mm long or 209.9 inches. Expedition MAX trim levels are longer, adding more cargo space to the rear of the vehicle.
