What is the recommended tire pressure of the 2018 Ford Escape?

When you’re taking your Ford SUV around town, out for the trails or just down to the corner store for a quick snack, it depends on its tires to be inflated in the correct manner so that you can get the smoothest and most efficient drive possible. However, the right level is often lost in the hustle of everyday life, so our Sherwood Ford team wants to give you a quick hand if you’re wondering, “What is the recommended tire pressure of the 2018 Ford Escape?” Knowing this, it’s much easier to know where you should stand to keep your wheels healthy!

2018 Ford Escape tire pressure recommendation

Keeping your tires at their optimal levels is essential because, as a precautionary measure, doing so can help your chassis steer clear of unnecessary strain when you’re driving. Official recommendations place your Escape model’s front tires at an inflation level of 35 pounds per square inch, or 240 kilopascals, no matter if you’re carrying a minimum or maximum load.

Your rear tires, however, will need some extra care. If you‘re handling a light load, 35 psi (240 kPa) is the recommended inflation level; a maximum load, though, will require you to fill your tires up until they read 44 psi (300 kPa). Keep in mind that these are still just general recommendations – it’s always best to consult your owner’s manual for a more in-depth explanation.

Does the 2018 Ford Escape have a Tire Pressure Monitoring System?

Sometimes life does get in the way and we can lose track of how full our tires are. The good news is that the 2018 Ford Escape comes with a built-in direct Tire Pressure Monitoring System! This system uses sensors inside the tire on the valve stem that can detect gradual air loss. Once alerted, all you have to do is fill back up and you can get on your way!
