How safe is the 2019 Ford Ranger?

2019 Ford Ranger IIHS Crash Test Ratings and Driver Assistance Features

Ford has been working hard to create vehicles throughout all of its model lines that are able to perform well in the clutch, and this is especially important in the event of incoming danger. You need to trust your model to keep you safe from harm, whether said model is a sedan, SUV or pickup. In the latter market, the Ford Ranger is one of the best in the business for just this desire. Check out the 2019 Ford Ranger IIHS Crash Test Ratings and Driver Assistance Features today with Sherwood Ford – we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

IIHS Designation of the 2019 Ford Ranger

To evaluate a vehicle’s true safety, the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) subjects it to six crashworthiness tests that all apply to different parts of the model’s construction. Pickups have historically fared poorly in these, but the Ranger isn’t like most. In fact, it scored “Good” (the highest possible IIHS designation) in five of the six tests that the IIHS administers, placing it among the safest in the pickup market.

There’s more good news to report, however – when equipped with its Forward Emergency Braking technology, the 2019 Ranger scores a perfect “Superior” rating! It’s truly an impressive showing for a mid-size pickup that places equal emphasis on brains and brawn.
