2018 F-150 Lariat Technology

Coming standard on the Lariat is a Pro Trailer Backup Assist that helps to make backing up your trailer easier than ever before. Instead of trying to turn your steering wheel just right to get your trailer where you want it to go, turn the Pro Trailer Backup Assist dial in the direction you want your trailer to go. The system will then guide your trailer either left or right, depending on which way you turned the dial, and your trailer will always go exactly where you want it to go. This feature is great for those who are just starting to haul a trailer, and for those who have been towing for years.

Another incredible feature on the 2018 F-150 Lariat is the available Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go technology. Sensors located at the front of the truck are able to constantly monitor the distance between your F-150 Lariat and the vehicle in front of you. When it detects that the distance between the two vehicles is beginning to shrink, it will automatically slow down your engine speed in order to keep you and your precious cargo at a safe distance behind the vehicle ahead. As soon as traffic clears or begins to speed up, the system will bring you back to your set cruising speed. That way you won't have to worry about manually adjusting your speed when you run into a bit of traffic.

These cylinders are made from the same high-strength compacted graphite iron that is used in the Power Stoke® Turbo Diesel engine, so you know they'll be able to work every bit as hard as you do. Thanks to all this technology, the 2.7L EcoBoost® is capable of cranking out 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque!

Those looking for a little extra kick in their engine will love the available 3.5L Ecoboost®. This second-generation engine allows the F-150 Lariat to deliver best-in-class max towing capacity, as well as best-in-class 470 lb-ft of torque. This beast of an engine also cranks up the horsepower up to 375 for a truly jaw-dropping experience each and every time you get behind the wheel. In order to help improve efficiency, this engine also features Auto Start/Stop technology. This means that when you come to a complete stop, your engine will turn off to save fuel. When you take pressure off the brakes, your engine will seamlessly start itself back up.
