2018 Fusion Safety

Because the engineers and designers at Ford always put your family's safety as their number-one priority, the 2018 Ford Fusion, like all Ford models, has been outfitted with an amazing array of safety features that have been designed and tested to help keep your family protected. One of these features is the standard rear-view camera. The camera automatically comes on when you shift your Fusion into reverse, and gives you a clear view of what is behind your car. The rear-view camera even helps you perceive depth thanks to red, yellow, and green markings. Another safety feature on the 2018 Fusion is the available Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go technology. When you're cruising down the highway, a radar sensor located at the front of your Fusion will monitor the distance between your car and the vehicle in front of you. When the distance between vehicles begins to shrink, the Adaptive Cruise Control system is able to automatically brake to keep you a safe distance away. It can also speed up when it senses that traffic is beginning to speed up as well. The Stop-and-Go technology takes this a step further by completely stopping your Fusion when traffic is at a stand-still, and then automatically restarts it when traffic picks up again.

If you're not a fan of trying to park in a tight space, you're going to love the available Enhanced Active Park Assist technology on the 2018 Fusion. By utilizing ultrasonic sensors located around the car, your Fusion will be able to automatically scan for an available parking spot. Once it has found one that it will fit inside of, you'll be alerted to stop and asked if you would like your Fusion to help you park. After you agree, all you'll need to do is man the brake pedal, the accelerator, shift the gears, and relax as your Fusion handles all of the steering to get you perfectly inside of your parking spot. The best part? This system can even parallel park all by itself!

Another exciting technology available on the 2018 Fusion is the Voice-Activated Navigation system. This navigation system is displayed through the display screen located on the centre stack and provides you with turn-by-turn directions and 3-D mapping of where you need to go. The best part of this system is that it is completely voice activated. This means that you'll be able to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road as you tell your car where you need to go. Simply press a button located on your steering wheel and your Fusion will prompt you to provide your destination's address. Utilizing this system will help you save battery life on your phone, and will help to keep you more focused on the road in front of you.
