2020 Ranger Performance

The Ford Ranger is back and it's better than ever thanks to its standard 2.3L EcoBoost® engine. By combining turbocharged and direct-injection technology, this capable little engine allows the Ranger to power through anything the road throws its way. Because it's direct injected, the engine is able to optimize every drop of fuel used to ensure that you get the most out of every precious drop of gasoline. To further its fuel efficiency, this engine has been paired with Ford's innovative 10-speed automatic transmission to ensure that you get the efficiency you need at the high, mid, and low gears.

In addition to its powerful engine, the 2020 Ranger has everything you need for your next off-road adventure. The available FX4 Off-Road Package outfits the 2020 Ranger with rugged all-terrain tires that feature an aggressive tread pattern that provides better traction while you're driving off of the beaten path. Speaking of driving off road, the available Trail Control™ system is able to control the engine speed, brakes, and transmission in order to keep your Ranger going at a constant speed (between 2 and 24 km/h) while you're driving off the road. Think of it as a cruise control system for off-roading.

2020 Ranger Technology

Like the F-150, the 2020 Ranger will come with a host of standard and available technology that has been designed to make driving easier, and more convenient for everyone on the road. Take the available Blind Spot Information System for example. This innovative technology is capable of monitoring the area around your Ranger, and the area around your trailer, and can alert you when another vehicle is approaching or has entered an area that you may not be able to see. When the system does detect another vehicle in your blind spot, it will illuminate a light on the corresponding side-view mirror, informing you that it isn't safe to change lanes.

Also available on the 2020 Ranger is the available Lane Keeping System. By using sensors located behind your rear-view mirror, this system is able to read the markings on the road in order to get an idea of your exact position within your lane. When the system begins to detect that you're unintentionally veering out of your lane, it will automatically send you alerts, and can even apply steering torque to get you back in your correct spot. How does is know when you want to change lanes on purpose? Simply use your turn signal and the system will know that you want to change lanes.
