Important Safety Recall Information for 1.3 Million F-150 and Super Duty Owners

(Ford Motor Company Limited) Canada recently announced a safety recall on Ford Trucks. Model years involved are certain 2015 – 2017 Model Year Ford F-150 and 2017 Model Year F-Super Duty Trucks. (Note: Photo may not depict exact trucks affected by the Safety Recall)

Anyone wanting to know if their vehicle is affected can submit the last eight digits of their VIN below. (Vehicle Identification Number)

Owner Notification Mailing Schedule: Owner letters are expected to be mailed by late November 2017. If you receive a letter and you no longer own the vehicle, please contact us immediately below.

What Is The Safety Recall?

In the affected vehicles, a frozen door latch, or a bent or kinked door latch actuation cable, may result in a door that will not open, door will not close, or door opens while driving, increasing the risk of injury.

 

What Sherwood Ford Will Do:

Ford Motor Company Canada will repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labour). To do this, Sherwood Ford will repair any affected vehicles that arrive at the dealership, whether or not the owner has received a letter.

 

What You Must Do To Ensure Your Safety:

As soon as possible, submit the last 8 digits of your VIN in the form above. We’ll confirm whether your vehicle is affected by the Safety Recall and advise you further to schedule a service appointment.

 

Where To Find The VIN On Your Ford:

A VIN is the unique identifier for your vehicle. It contains 17 characters composed of numbers and capital letters. The VIN number on your Ford is located on a metal tag affixed above the instrument panel or in your vehicle documentation (registration or insurance policy).
