There will also be five new wheel designs to accent the SUV's bold new hues.
New available Safe and Smart Package provides drivers with new safety features as well. Drivers can add to their versatile SUV Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support, Blind Spot Information System, Cross-Traffic Alert, a Lane-Keeping System, Auto High-Beams and Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers.
Keeping drivers connected at all times, the 2018 Explorer features available 4G embedded modem with wi-Fi hotspot that can connect to up to 10 devices as far as 50 feet away. It also will have available Ford's SYNC Connect system that allows drivers to connect to their Explorer remotely via FordPass.
The 2018 Explorer follows the footsteps of its predecessors, offering drivers capable, intelligent all-wheel drive with Terrain Management System™. This system can be paired with three engine options including Ford's EcoBoost technology.
Fit with the 2.3L EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine, the 2018 Explorer delivers 280 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. Of torque. The 3.5L twin-turbo option for the Sport and Platinum models will give drivers that extra boost under the hood with 365 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque.
