It’s back and better than ever! Sherwood Ford is proud to sponsor Racing for a Cure 2022. It will be an unforgettable day for VIP Stollery children and their families. What, when, and where is Racing for a Cure 2022?
Racing for a Cure 2022 is this year’s charity event, an annual race day and fundraiser to raise awareness, raise funds, and collect donations for Stollery Children’s Hospital of Alberta. Racing for a Cure 2022 will take place on June 18th, 2022, at the River Cree Resort Venue located at 300 E Lapotac Blvd in Edmonton, AB, T7X 3Y3. At 6 PM the activities will move indoors for the gala event.
What is the Racing for a Cure Gala Event?
The 2022 Racing for a Cure gala evening at the River Cree Resort is in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. It’s a dinner and entertainment event that features a full buffet, dessert, a live and silent auction, Danny Hooper entertainment, inspirational stories, and more. All funds raised during the event will go to the foundation.
How is Sherwood Ford participating in Racing for a Cure 2022?
Sherwood Ford is one location collecting donations for Racing for a Cure 2022, but that’s not all. Anyone who steps up with a donation to help Stollery Kid patients have a little more comfortable Hospital visit will receive a 10% discount on our service center from June 1st to 30th. Sherwood Ford will also be donating $10 from every test drive to Racing for a Cure in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital throughout the month of June.
Sherwood Ford has also entered our OilersNation #NationTruck in the Racing for a Cure parade that will be happening during the event, so be sure to keep an eye out and say hi! We’re excited by this opportunity to give back to the community, and we hope to see you all there.
What items are being collected this year for Racing for a Cure?
We are happy to collect donations of cash and specific items at our dealership. If you donate, be sure to take advantage of a 10% discount at our service center this month only. If you do not wish to make a donation through Sherwood Ford, you can also donate cash to the foundation online. Suggested donations for the Stollery “Beach” and “Teen Room” include:
- Gift Cards
- Children’s Arts & Craft Kits
- Kids Picture Books
- Youth Reading Books
- Please do not donate any stuffed toys or other children’s toys
Where do donations for Racing for a Cure go?
Together, we can give the sickest kids the best chance, anywhere in the world, to live a long and healthy life. All funds raised during the Racing for a Cure 2022 event will go to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Stollery Children’s Hospital is noteworthy for the following accomplishments.
- Hosting the only pediatric emergency room in northern Alberta
- Referring patients for all complex pediatric heart surgeries and transplants
- Providing a major organ transplantation centre
- Maintaining Canada’s largest regional neonatal intensive and intermediate care program
- Using some of the most advanced child-health treatments in the country
