Test drive a Ford vehicle to improve healthcare in Sherwood Park, AB

You’re invited to test drive a Ford vehicle at Sherwood Ford and join us in making a difference in our community’s healthcare. We have partnered with the Strathcona Community Hospital Foundation to support their vital work. Every test drive you take at our Sherwood Park dealership in Alberta during June 2023 will make a monetary donation to the foundation. It’s a win-win situation where you get to explore our Ford models while improving healthcare in Sherwood Park.

How does taking a test drive support the hospital?

Throughout June 2023, for every test drive taken at our Sherwood Park dealership, we’ll make a monetary donation to support the foundation’s healthcare services. You don’t have to do anything special; just come in for a test drive. We’ll keep track of the number of cars driven and provide our donation at the end of the month. If you want to help out but don’t want to test drive, see below for more options.

Schedule vehicle services in June to make your donation

The Sherwood Ford Service Center will be making a monetary donation for every vehicle serviced in June. So, if you don’t want a new car, you can visit us for a routine oil change or another service instead of a test drive. This allows everyone to participate in our fundraising event.

What does the Strathcona Community Hospital Foundation do?

The Strathcona Community Hospital Foundation (STCHF) closely monitors community needs and advocates for the necessary resources through fundraising projects. This means that they consider the medical and well-being needs of every patient, family members of the patient, and staff members at the hospital. They look for areas of concern and help the hospital raise money to make changes.

What will my donation in June 2023 do for the hospital?

The foundation is currently raising money for the hospital to renovate and expand its IV Therapy Room. This renovation will enable the hospital to serve more patients. The estimated cost is $1.4 million, and the community fundraising goal of $250,000 will contribute directly to those costs.  Sherwood Ford is a proud corporate sponsor to donate towards the project. As of July 6th, 2023 the foundation is short approximately $50,000 of meeting their goal of community and corporate donations.

What services does the IV Therapy Room provide?

The IV Therapy Room at the Strathcona Community Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a wide range of medical treatments. From antibiotic and non-antibiotic infusions to iron infusions, therapeutic phlebotomy, Eclasta infusions, and more, the services they provide are vital for many patients, including those with ALS. The clinic operates seven days a week, serving approximately 600 patient visits each month.
