Steps to taking the doors off of a Ford Bronco vehicle 

The video above gives you a visual guide to door removal and installation. Here, we’ll walk you through the steps that you saw in the video, in case you need to review them. The Ford Bronco SUV’s doors can be removed quickly and efficiently by following these steps. 

  1. Make sure you have the tool kit from your Bronco vehicle’s glove box. This kit has everything you need to remove the doors: 2 fender protectors, a 13mm socket, a ratchet, and an alignment pin. 
  2. Push the Engine Start/Stop button once with your foot off the brake.  
  3. Lower the windows on all the doors that you want to remove. 
  4. Push the Engine Start/Stop button again with your foot off the brake. 
  5. Fold the exterior mirrors on the vehicle completely forward. 
  6. Place one fender protector from the toolkit on the door being removed. 
  7. Place the other fender protector from the toolkit on the front fender. 
  8. Fully open the door being removed and locate the wire connector. 
  9. Hold the connector cover open and pull the wire connector straight out. 
  10. Place the available door storage bag on the door being removed. 
  11. Use the 13mm socket tool to loosen and remove the lower and upper hinge bolts. 
  12. Have two people lift the door vertically off its hingers, using the handles on the door storage bag. 
  13. Zip the storage bag shut and store the door for later use.
